The importance of sunscreen is often overlooked. But, the truth is that you need to protect your skin from sun damage regardless of whether it is sunny or not, the rays are still there even in the winter when the sun is not clearly visible!

Sun damage consists of:

  • Aging.
  • Spots-uneven skin tone.
  • Skin cancer.
  • Sunburn.

You may think that your skin looks just fine but things are not always as they seem; looks can be deceiving.

If you have sensitive skin then be sure to look for a sunscreen that is fragrance free, oil-free and non comedogenic (not pore blocking). You may also get more natural based sunscreen if you prefer that. Opt for at least SPF 15 but 30 is better.

Yes, some foundations do have SPF but I am sure you do not put on pumps of makeup so, it won’t be enough.

What I like about this product:

  • Oil control AND hydrating properties.
  • Anti-bacterial properties: Burdock Root; helps acne prone skin.
  • Anti-inflammatory and anti-irritation ingredient: Willow Herb; helps acne prone skin.
  • Matte finish.
  • Minimizes pores.
  • Anti-aging ingredients.
  • Paraben, sulfate, synthetic fragrance, synthetic dye, petro-chemical and pthalate free.
  • And, of course sun protection!

I have both sensitive and combination skin. This is one of the very few moisturizers with SPF that I do not find to be greasy or leave my face looking oily. The only downside is that it’s more costly than other SPF sources. This does not break me out or have a white ghostly look, lol. The texture is extremely light but creamy! It disappears into my skin so fast that sometimes I find myself putting on more.

What I like about this:

  • Sheer-no ghostly white cast on face.
  • Oil-free, matte finish.
  • Not greasy, disappears into your skin fast. Dry-touch advertisement is accurate!
  • Affordable price.
  • Water resistant.

Can be bought at your local drugstore, Target-cheapest there, less than $10, Walmart, etc.

Don’t forget to protect your body from the sun’s rays, too! 🙂

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Creme

I purchased the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation creme and I LOVED it.

It’s an oil free creme that claims to help with hyperpigmentation-skin discoloration AND anti-aging. It is recommended to use it twice a day but I used it once at night. I felt like it literally did transform my skin overnight. I woke up in the morning with a radiant look :). In fact, I received compliments about my skin looking brighter.

What I like about this particular creme:

  • Oil-free.
  • Paraben, sulfate, phthalate-free.
  • A lot natural ingredients such as: Sugar cane, Lemon fruit extract, orange fruit extract, sandalwood, licorice and more.
