Innisfree sheet masks!

Korean beauty products are hot and happening! I decided to purchase a Korean sheet mask.

After looking around on Amazon, I decided to go for the Innisfree sheet masks because Innisfree is owned by Amore Pacific which is one of the top cosmetic companies in South Korea! Plus the Innisfree sheet masks are not too pricey. I received 15 different sheet masks for $15 with Free Prime shipping through an Amazon seller. Otherwise they are $1.20 each via Innisfree’s website.

Each sheet mask listed what it was best for. The first one I tried was the Acai Berry mask which said it was best for brightening and clearing. The website listed that it was also good for tightening and smoothing.

The mask fit me well, it was VERY saturated and it smelled good! There was not any sort of chemical smell. 🙂 I left it on for 20 mins and my face still had some of the product on it. The brightening effect of this particular mask was noticeable, too however I did not experience a tightening effect. I patted the leftover product into my skin and it took some time to completely soak in. My face immediately felt smooth and soft though.

And, guess what?!?

I woke up with a  baby soft face, too which lasted more than just a day. It’s been 3 days and my face is STILL softer and smoother than usual.

With that being said, I am definitely excited to try the rest of the masks. If you would like me to post a review about a particular mask then feel free to comment below.

F.A.B. Facial Radiance Pads

Screenshot_2014-12-28-17-33-31

These pads are:

  • Super easy and fast to use-just wipe onto a clean face, once or twice daily. I have found that just once a day gives you results but of course twice would be better.
  • Gentle, even for sensitive skin-can be used daily.
  • Contains natural ingredients such as: cucumber, Indian gooseberry, lemon peel extract, Aloe leaf juice and orange fruit extract.
  • Free of harsh ingredients!

Furthermore, these pads not only have toning properties but they also exfoliate your skin to reveal more radiant skin with lactic and glycolic acid.

Best of all, they actually work as described and make your skin glow! I have been using these pads and I have definitely noticed that they are effective. They leave my face looking brighter without causing any sort of unwanted reaction.

Can be purchased at:

Sephora 28 pads for $14.00 or 60 pads for $30.00

and

First Aid Beauty 60 pads for $30.00

Discussion of sunscreen and sunscreen recommendations.

The importance of sunscreen is often overlooked. But, the truth is that you need to protect your skin from sun damage regardless of whether it is sunny or not, the rays are still there even in the winter when the sun is not clearly visible!

Sun damage consists of:

  • Aging.
  • Spots-uneven skin tone.
  • Skin cancer.
  • Sunburn.

You may think that your skin looks just fine but things are not always as they seem; looks can be deceiving.

Check out this video which highlights just that.

 “How the sun sees you…”

If you have sensitive skin then be sure to look for a sunscreen that is fragrance free, oil-free and non comedogenic (not pore blocking). You may also get more natural based sunscreen if you prefer that. Opt for at least SPF 15 but 30 is better.

Yes, some foundations do have SPF but I am sure you do not put on pumps of makeup so, it won’t be enough.

Boscia Oil-Free Daily Hydration SPF 15 – is a product that I recommend. Ideal for all skin types.

Boscia

Full ingredient list: Water, Butylene Glycol, Silica, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Pentylene Glycol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/leaf/stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Algae Extract, Hydrolyzed Yeast Extract, Bishydroxyethyl Biscetyl Malonamide, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sclerotium Gum, Aluminum Hydroxide, Potassium Phosphate, Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide.

What I like about this product:

  • Oil control AND hydrating properties.
  • Anti-bacterial properties: Burdock Root; helps acne prone skin.
  • Anti-inflammatory and anti-irritation ingredient: Willow Herb; helps acne prone skin.
  • Matte finish.
  • Minimizes pores.
  • Anti-aging ingredients.
  • Paraben, sulfate, synthetic fragrance, synthetic dye, petro-chemical and pthalate free.
  • And, of course sun protection!

I have both sensitive and combination skin. This is one of the very few moisturizers with SPF that I do not find to be greasy or leave my face looking oily. The only downside is that it’s more costly than other SPF sources. This does not break me out or have a white ghostly look, lol. The texture is extremely light but creamy! It disappears into my skin so fast that sometimes I find myself putting on more.

This can be bought at: Sephora and Boscia 1.4 oz-$36.

A drugstore sunscreen that I recommend is:

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 30 Sunscreen

Neutrogena

What I like about this:

  • Sheer-no ghostly white cast on face.
  • Oil-free, matte finish.
  • Not greasy, disappears into your skin fast. Dry-touch advertisement is accurate!
  • Affordable price.
  • Water resistant.

Can be bought at your local drugstore, Target-cheapest there, less than $10, Walmart, etc.

Don’t forget to protect your body from the sun’s rays, too! 🙂

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Creme

Hi guys,

I purchased the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation creme and I LOVED it.

20141017_183655

It’s an oil free creme that claims to help with hyperpigmentation-skin discoloration AND anti-aging. It is recommended to use it twice a day but I used it once at night. I felt like it literally did transform my skin overnight. I woke up in the morning with a radiant look :). In fact, I received compliments about my skin looking brighter.

What I like about this particular creme:

  • Oil-free.
  • Paraben, sulfate, phthalate-free.
  • A lot natural ingredients such as: Sugar cane, Lemon fruit extract, orange fruit extract, sandalwood, licorice and more.
  • Vitamin C-brightens and stimulates collagen!
  • Gentle exfoliating properties from AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), you won’t be left with dry or flaky skin.

Full ingredient list:
